Uhlan was • shipped from New Plymouth to Christchurch yesterday to fulfil his N.Z. Cup engagement. Sir Lancelot. Renown, Ideal, Boiler, Douglas and Oingo left Napier to-day.
A wager of 1000 to 55 was written against ".Malatua to-day, also 100 to 20 Sir Lancelot, 200 to 10 Explosion, and 200 to 20 Battleaxe.
