College Rifles v. No. 1 Native Rifles. ■—College Rifles won by .14 points to nil. L. Shera scored throe tries and J. Shera one, while a goal from a try was kicked by S. Atkinson.

llobson v. Native School. —This match proved to be very fast and interesting, and resulted in a win for Hobson by G points to 5. A try was scored by A. Purely and a penalty goul kicked by Tremnin. Onehunga United v. Essex.—This match resulted in a draw, neither side scoring.

Arawa v. Graf ton. —This match wa« played at Potter's Paddock and after a well contested game resulted in a win for Arawa by 3 points to nil, a try secured by Dunlop.

Avondale v. Helensville. —On Saturday the Avondale Football Club went to Helensville to play the Te Pua team. The paddock, where it was not covered with water from three to six inches dee]), was thick mud, and in one instance when a serum was formed in the middle of a pond about six feet square, one of the Avondale players, known as "Chuclde," was half drowned in the deep water. The game after a very hard tussle resulted in a win for Te Pua by 2 tries to nil. Among those who played well for Ji'elensville were Smith, Kelly, Downer (ca.pt.), and Baker, the last named 6coring both tries within the last three ■minutes of the game. For Avondale the following played well: Peck, Atkinson, Reid, Sandall, Clarke and Ward. After the match the Avondale team were given a splendid dinner at Btrettan's Hotel.
