Wellington, this day. ABSOLUTE MAJORITY BILL.
The prospects of Mr McNab's Absolute. Majority Bill receiving the support of .the Government, which is so essential to the success of a private bill, do not seem to be very rosy. It is said that the Premier doubts the capacity of the electors to understand and appreciate the measure, and he would, prefer to see it first tried in connection with the election of local bodies in order to educate the electors in. the proposed method Of dealing with the voting papers. '
