The following team has been chosen to take part in the inter-union match, Waikato v. Waipa, to be played at Te Awamutu on Saturday next.—Waipa: Full-back, G. Cruickshank; threequarters, M. Gorrie, and Bowden (2); five-eights, L. Macky; half,, 11. Carr; wings, Allcock, and J. Ryburn; forwards, Jackson, North, Eimmer, Allcock, Turner, Sing and Kay.
Waikato: Full-back, Kirk; threequarters, Anderson, McPike, Pike; five-eights, Bailey; half, McVeigh; wings, Cowling and Dodd; forwards, Speight, Blackwell, Armor Montgomery, Welsh, Iladden, and Paynter; emergencies: Carnachan and Henlow (backs), Williamson and Coates (forwards) .

At a meeting of the Rugby Union Committee^ last night a letter was read from" the Taranaki Union, asking what percentage of the gate receipts would be allowed if a Taranaki team visited Dunedin. It was resolved to reply that it is the practice of the Otago Union neither to accept from sister Unions any proportion of the gate receipts, nor to give any proportion to Unions sending teams, but. under the special circumstances the Union is prepared to offer a Taranaki team one-third of the gate receipts of. a fixed sum of £50 towards the expenses, provided the visit be made this season, that the match be the first of the Taranaki Union's tour, and that it be played on a Saturday.
WELLINGTON, this day. The following Wellington team has been picked to play against' the Mana-1 watu Union at Palmerston North j next Saturday:—Pull-back, Hales; three-qua-terfv, Bonar, Bush, and j Devere; five-eighths, Wallace; half, j Fordyce; wing forwards, H. Kelly j and Hardanr; forwards, W. Spencer, J Idling, Soffe, O'Brien, McAnally, . Jag-J ger, and Gallagher. Both Roberts i and Calnan will be available to re-1 present Wellington against Waira- j rap'a on August 12, the day after the j expiration of their two years' suspension.
