_» : The City Hall was crowded last evening, when the Gaiety Company again presented a splendid programme. The qccasion formed a complimentary benefit tendered by Mr P. It. Dix to Messrs Faning and Rivers. i-11 the performers received a cordial reception, and the comedians, Messrs Edwards and Faning, created no end of amusement. Mr Faning and Miss Devoe's sketch, "Romeo and Juliet," created a deal of fun. The farce, "He's Dead; Who?" fairly convulsed the audience. Mr Rivers thanked j those present for their attendance, ' and. the management for a comfortable and happy engagement. Tonight the No. 4 Company will make their first appearance. Included in the new company are Mr Will Wallace, ethiopian comedian; Ossis, who is described as a marvellous acrobat; Mr Chas. Daly, Mr J. Collins, and Mr Bert. Robinson. The Howard sisters and Miss Nellie Finley. Messrs Tom Edwards' and J. F. Robertson will also . appear. By the Royal Cinematographe a number of new comic pictures will be pro- i jected. No doubt a very large audience will greet the new company. I
