Alpha shares advanced in price today on the Exchange, sales being made at 5/, at which price more could have been placed fufter-the call. MayQueens changed hands at 7/, with buyers left at 6/10. Buyers came in today for Kauri Freeholds at 17/, but holders asked 20/. Waitekauri shares had demand at 47/6, and Woodstocks at 7/3. The enquiry for Grace Darlings continued steady at 2/3, while Bunkers Hill shares were wanted at 2/7,' but holders asked 3/. 1" Sta-i dard stocks Taupiri Coal shares sold at 20/, with buyers left ottering IU/9 and no sellers quoted. National Banks were.wanted at 50/6, and Auckland Gas (old issue) had buyers at Cl 2 15/, while enquiry set in for new issue at £9 15/. There was also demand for New Zealand Drug shares at late rates. Northern Steam were firmer, 7/8 being offered.
