CREAMERY SITE PURCHASED

Yesterday Mr Wesley Spragg, representing the Dairy Association, purchased t'rom Mr J. Phillips, junr.. a site for a. creamery at Paeroa, on the Thames road near the racecourse. The erection of a plant will at once be proceeded with.
At the Ohinemuri County Council meeting the following additional business was transacted last night:—Junction Wharf, Paeroa: £40 ordered to be spent making the breastwork and metalling the road.
Tenders will be called for repairs to Gilmore-street, Waihi. It was resolved on the motion of Cr. Stackpole to write to the Government that the Council wil expend £ 300 on the Karangahake Hill track if the Government give £■ 1 for £ 1 subsidy.
[t was resolved that the Chairman interview the Warden regarding the road to the school at Golden Cross.
At the Police Court to-day before Messrs Forster and Nathan. Justices, Kingo Haira, anative. was convicted of obtaining a coat at Waihi by false pretences and was sentenced to three months" imprisonment.
