TE AROHA AGRICULTURAL
SOCIETY,
The annual meeting of the Te Aroha Agricultural Society was held in the Town Hall on Saturday night, Mr T. Hinton presiding. The annual report showed the Society had made good progress during the year, though the financial position was not so good as formerly, owing to the prizes having been largely increased. The balance sheet showed the cash balance to be £1 4/6. The report and balance sheet were adopted, and the following officers elected: —Patron, Hon. A. J. Cadman (re-elected); president, Mr W. H. Herries, M.H.R.; ivce-presidents, A. Bowler, J. C. Allen, W. S. Allen, A. Aitken, J. McNicol, H Cox, and T. Heath; secretary, Wm. Hill (reelected); treasurer, A. W. Edwards (re-elected); auditor, Mr P. Gilchrist; committee, the" foreging officers and Messrs E. Bowler, C. B. Edwards, W. Hetherington, Lavery, Farner, Boric, Rowe, Jackson, Bossons, Bellamy, Marshall, May, Newsome,, Hinton, Schofield, Rowe (2), Nelson, Strange (2), Pilling, Walker, Wright, Brown, Stanley, Parr, Lavery, Batt, Hanks, Teague, Brady, Murray, Burnett, Jas. Jackson, and Ross; executive, Messrs Hanks, Bowler (2), Pilling, Hetherington, Strange, Brown, Rowe, Hinton, Marshall and Ross,
A committee was apointed to see if the Waihou Domain could be obtained for the show, which will be held on 29th January next.
