WAIHI-SILVERTON DISPUTE.

REFERRED TO THE CONCILIATION BOARD.

THAMES, this day. An enthusiastic meeting1 of members of the Thames .Miners' Union was held j last night, when there was a Ini-ge I attendance. The President (Mi lO'Kcefe) presided. The meeting1 was jconvened for the purpose of deciding whether or not the dispute with the I Waihi-Silverton Company re its scale of wages and other conditions should be brought before the Conciliation Hoard. After some discussion it was i resolved, on the motion of Mr 11. M. McLaehlin, seconded by Mr .fas. Hard- ! man, "That the dispute with the . Waihi- Silverton Company be referred to the Conciliation Hoard for settlement." It was also decided that the President, Mr H. Carter and Mr J. ('. Molloy be the representatives of the Iniou before the Board. The Hoard will probably sit at YVnihi on the lSlh inst. for the purpose of dealing' with the dispute.
