FOUND AT SEA.
FOUR MEN IN AN OPEN BOAT.
WELLINGTON, June 24
Captain. Stenbeek, of the barque Emproza, reports that he found 4 white tickct-of-k'avc men in the D'Eutrecasteux Lagoon, off the souln-east coast of New Guinea, who said they had been blown from New Caledonia in an open boat, while on a lushing excursion, oiglit or nine months ago. They were nearly starved and without clothing. The captain distrusted the men's story, and took only one, an Dalian, on board, leaving food for the others. A boat was afterwards sent to convoy them to New Caledonia. The men ;iro believed to "be. identical with several New Caled,ouui escapees, an uimicessfiA searon f"i whom w.is made on a vessel that recntly arrived at Wellington from Noumea.
