CHARGE OF MURDER.
THE CARROLL CASE.
William Carroll appeared in Court on June 15 charged with, murder before Messrs Wells and Rout. Detective Grace appeared for the police, and Mr W. F. Buckland for the prisoner.
Evidence was given by several wil> nesses, who said they saw prisoner strike his wife (deceased) on the evening of the 15th May. Medical evidence showed that deceased died from injuries inflicted. Accused reserved his defence, and was committed for trial.
