OHAUPO, Wednesday.
At Messrs McNicol' and Co.'s sale yesterday about 200 head of cattte were yarded About 60 dairy cows were offered, lor which there was a fair demand. Grown steers were scarce. Store cows were fairly numerous, and a good demand existed up to £3 for fresh-conditioned animals. Owing to the wretched weather the attendance of buyers was small. The following are the quotations :-Dairy cows at profit, £4: to_ £4 5/- backward ■ springers, £2 </ to £Z lf/G; £5 5/ was offered for a choice springing heifer but £0 was wanted; empty store cows realised • from £2 to £3; steer calves, 16/0- coarse three-year Steers, £3 6/; fat cows', from £3 15/ to £4 2/0. About 200 sheep were yarded. Pat ewes ranged from 9/3 to 11/6; store wethers brought 9/9.
