The weather is showery for the second day's racing of the Jockey Club's races. The attendance is only moderate.
Hunters' Hurdles, 1J mile.—Awahuri, 11.0, •1; Waihau, 11.5, 2; Mangamaku, 12.11, 3^ Scratched; Wrickham and Tilter. Won easily by four lengths.. Time 3.0 2-5. Dividend, i£7 107.
Hawke's Bay Steeplechase of 300sovs. 'About 3£ miles.—Kuby, 9.7, 1; Venture, 5.7, 2; Kanaka, 10.12, 3. Scratched: Tataramoa. Nor'-west refused at the brush fence. Kuby was in the lead from start to finish, winning comfortably by half a dozen lengths. Time, > 7min 32 l-ssec. Dividend, £14 18/.
Ladies' Necklace, 1J mile,—Mrs Moeller's Pansy, 1; Bulrush, 2; Anadyomene, 3. All started. Won easily. Time, 2min 51 2-ssec. Dividend, £2 8/.
Hunters' Steeplechase, 2i miles.— Stilts, 1; Puketoi, 2; Frisco, 3. All started. Won by two lengths. Dividend, £2 4/.
