SCHOOL REPORTS BY HEAD TEACHERS.
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—My attention having been drawn to a report of a meeting of the Northeote School Committee that appeared in your issue of 15th inst., in which it is stated that a letter was received from the Mount Eden Committee anffgestinß that the Northcote Committee should adopt n system which they had Introduced into the Mount Eden schools of sending out monthly reports from the head teacher to the parents of the children stating the progress made during the month, I shall be glad If you will grant me space to say that no such letter has been sent to the Xorthcote School Committee. The issuing of reports being at present, but an experiment, the Mount Eden Committee are not at all likely to suggest the adoption of similar reports by other committees.—l am, etc.,
E. S. MEDLEY,
Chairman Mount Eden School Committee.
