Oxford's first innings closed for 251; Leveson-Gower was top scorer with 59, while Cunliffe made 48.
Of the Australian bowlers McLeod secured the best average, taking three wickets. for 31- Jones took four -.wick- ' ets for SO. ' .
Worrall and Darling opened the I Colonials'first innings.' At the close of < the day's play three wickets were down for 78, Noble being 16 (not out) land Trumper 24 (not out).
j The match was continued this morn* j ing. The weather was showery and j rain falling during the night had ; rendered the wicket difficult- The I attendance was moderate.
Noble doubled his score of the prei vious day before Cuncliffe captured his I wicket, and Trumper raised his to 55, | When the luncheon adjournment was taken the Australians' score stood at i 5 wickets for. 182.
The Australians have now scored 202 for live wickets, the not outs being, i Kelly (47) and Trumble (15). . ,- ! Darling's score wast inaccurately cabled to the morning papers. It was 12, not 24. .
