At the opening of the Yictoi'ia College last night, Sir James Hector, in suggesting the faculties of medicine and technology as,specialities for the Victoria College, said a faculty was also wanting for the Auckland College, though that institution had already distinguished itself in a most wonderful way, sweeping away all the university scholarships and prizes for physics and chemistry.
