The monthly meeting of the New Zealand Natives' Association was held last evening at the Tailoresses' Hall, Cook street, when Mr R. McVeagh delivered an interesting lecture on 'Men who have fought and died for New Zealand.' Mr F. E. Baume presided. Among those present were the Hon. Jas. Carroll, who presented to the successful competitors the trophies won at the Natives' Association picnic at Pine Island. Mr Carroll also gave an address to his fellow members. The Roslyn exhibit, admired by rhousands of visitors to the Exhibition, and pronounced by good judges ns the best in the show, will be sold this week at Court Bros.', at mill prices for this week only.—(Ad.)
