Hay and Son, Montpellier Nursery, first award for group of potplants, aquatic, ornamental foliage, palms, etc. Arthur Yates and Co., Queen-street, Auckland, first award for flower, agricultural, and bird seeds, dried grass specimens, garden tools, and implements. Carder Bros., first award for; vases, etc., exhibited on the lawn. BISCUITS. The judg-es of biscuits and confectionery, reported to the secretory, Mr W. R. Holmes, that an error had occurred in the awards for biscuits. Messrs C. G. Lauri and Co., of Newmarket, should have received a second award instead of third, as mentioned by the judges in their previous report. POTTED AND TINNED GOODS. Judges: Messrs H. Maxfield and John Aulesbrook. Anglo-British Columbia Salmon Packing Company (per Herbert Thompson, Auckland agent):1 Ist award and special mention for Laurel Leaf Cutlet tinned salmon; Ist award for Holly Leaf brand, Choice brand, and Sovereign. The judges describe the exhibit as being first-class. St. George Preserving Works, Dunedin: Ist award, with special mention,1 for jams, fancy tinned poultry, fruit, vegetables, etc. Assorted meat, and all potted meats to be judged on Sth with Messrs Gear's and Hellaby's. L. D. Nathan and Co.: Ist award and special mention for purity and excellence of white and black pepper. St. <-ieorge Preserving Works, Dunedin: Ist award for apple jelly and red currant jelly; Ist award for Lily brand of white and coloured starches; Ist award for arrowroot; Ist award for spices; Ist award for golden syrup; Ist award for pig feed (refuse from manufacture of starch and ground rice. LIMESTONE, LTME, CTCMENT, ETC. Judges: Messrs Ashley Hunter, C.E., and J. J. Holland. Hikurangi Coal Co.: First-class award for building limestone. Ernest Clayton, Paeroa: Model of Karangahake Bridge, honourable mention. Hadley and Co.. Albert and Swanson. streets: Honourable mention for steel pipes manufactured by S. Zollner, Sydney. 'New Zealand Portland Cement Co.: First-class award for white stone, lime; 2nd class award for hydraulic lime. John Wilson and Co.: First-class | award for Portland cement, hydraulic lime, and shell lime. J. J. Craig: First-class award for hydraulic lime. ORGANS AND PIANOS. Judges: Messrs A. Towsey and Thos. Wood. Organ in Choral Hall: The judges consider for excellence of tone in both r<?eds and flue work it is equal to the best English made organs. The balance of tone is admirable, and the workmanship everything" that can be desired nothing being used throughout but the very best material. They specially wish to compliment Mr Geo. Croft for being the first builder to introduce the combination pistons into New Zealand. We aw rard him first and special prize and highly commend his work.
