Mr W. R. "Wilson's entries, numbering 55, in 14 events, were inadvertently mislaid at the V.R.C. office on Monday. Bobadil is entered for the Essendsn Stakes, run on the first day of the meeting. These additional entries bring the total within 43 of last year. Massinissa has broken down badly. Betting- on the Newmarket Handicap is brisk since the first forfeit was declared. Beachcomber is ' favourite at 100 to 7. Hopscotch is easier, and 100 to G is offered against him. Veneda is well backed at 100 to 5, which price is now exhausted. The Reaper has advanced to 100 to 5; Regained is nibbled at 100 to 3. Tale Lock and Le Var have arrived at Fleming-ton.
