CARTERTON, this day.
Sain, which set in on Sunday, still continues. Low lying land is flooded, especially bad in Dalefield district, -and crops have suffered badly.
WELLINGTON, this day.
The weather continues cold and Wintry. An additional 0.83 inch of ram had fallen up i > this morning, but today the fall will be greater, and it is feared the rivers in the district will be much affected.
