ALLEGED THEFT OF AMALGAM.

In the Police Court, to-day, before Justices Tierney and Rhodes, Robert Beattie, sewing machine agent was charged on the information of Detective Alalveney that he did steal about month of January a quantity of gold amalgam of the value of £14 8s 4d, the property of a person at present unknown. Air Walker appeared for accused. The police applied for a remand, which was granted for eight days. Bail was allowed. £100 to accused and £50 each two sureties.
