FIRE IN WELLINGTON.

WELLINGTON, this day.
Two shops on Lambton Quay, oner occupied by Air J. Stephen, fancygoods dealer, the other empty, were gutted by fire last night; a third shop, occupied by Mr Boot, confectioner, was partially damaged. The fire had a good hold, but the buildings were of : brick, and confined it. It out again after midnight, but was subdued at once. The buildings belonged to Mr J. Joseph and insured in the Commercial Union for £2,000. Mr Stephen was insured for £ 700 in the Madge burg, and Mr Boot for £100 in tbe Manchester.
