Messrs. W. Blyth and Co. report daily sales of fruit and produce at prices for the most part satisfactory to vendors. Very large consignments of bananas arrived by Hauroto, -which were cleared at low prices owing to large supplies of local fruits. Large supplies of local fruits received during the week, which met very fair demand, and were quoted at the following prices: Plums, Id to 2d lb, and 1/G to 2/G per box; pears, Id to 2Jd lb; peaches in good demand, Id to 2Jd,lb, and 3d to 1/ per doz: apples, 1/ to 5/ per case, according to quality; nectarines, ljd to 3d lb, latter figure being obtained for a line from Albany; grapes, 6d to 9d lb; greengages, good demand, ljd to 2d lb, and 1/6 to 2/6 per box; tomatoes, good market, 2/ to 2/6 per 241b box; oranges, 9/ case; bananas, 1/G to 3/ per bunch; apricots, Cape gooseberries, and passion fruit wanted.

Alex. Aitken and Co. have pleasure in reporting good sales daily. Although plums are still low, there has been no necessity to sell good cases under 1/ per case, except the laziness of the salesman. All dessert fruits are selling wonderfully well. Potatoes and onions lower. Good young pigs scarce.
