His Excel- j 1 lertcy paid an official visit to Blenheim at noon to-day, and was received at the railway station by the civic and public dignitaries. The Blenheim j j Rifles and Garrison Band formed a j ! guard of honour. The day was beau- j tifiilly fine, and the welcome was very | enthusiastic The public luncheon j took place at two o'clock. The Cover- j nor departs at 6 p.m. for Picton. He ; will then proceed in the Tutanekai to j Nelson. On the way to Blenheim this j morning the vice-regal party stopped jat Tuamarina to view the historic I [ Massacre Hill. • The view from this j : spot is ~said to be one of the finest in j j New Zealand. ...
