The Austrian • and German newspapers accuse Britain of provoking France.
France has withdrawn hey demand for the extension of concessions in Shanghai.-
The Standard confirms the state-
merit that M. Dupuy, the French Prei Snier, and M. Deleasse, the Minister for Foreign Affairs; desires a friendly understanding with Great Britain in regard to all outstanding differences, and adds that the French journals showing hostility to such an understanding are not inspired. PARIS, January 10.
