THE HAWEA.
The s.s. Hawea arrived early this morning from Fiji with a full cargo of raw sugar, going up to Chelsea to discharge. Mr J. Lundie. the chief officer, reports that after loading through the Group, the Hawea left Suva on January 5, and experienced light to moderate winds until the 9th; thence strong westerly winds to arrival. About 240 miles from Suva the Hawea passed a vessel's topmast, end on, rising about eight feet out of the water.
