A seven-roomed house at Kauri, near H'kurangl. belonging to Alexander MePhie. was destroyed by fire on December 2cth. The damage is, estimated at £300. The building was insured for £200 and tbe furniture for £ 50, both in the New Zealand Office. When tired and thirsty call at Geo. Fowlds' for an iced drink from the I great American soda fountain.—(Ad.)
