AUSTRALIAN CABLES.
A BOOM COMING IN AUSTRALASIA.
MELBOURNE, December 23
The 'Argus' says signs of monetary activity during the coming year are multiplying'- Victoria and South Australia are likely to export £2,000,000 worth more wheat and flour than ditring the present year. Gold-producing will also show a large increase. A boom will probably be caused by the Loan Bills, which are calculated to bring a great deal of money jnto the colonies. The Loan Bills passed in the various colonies, including New Zealand, provide for the expenditure of some £13,000,000 during the next two or three years. Under a.ny circumstances it looks as if the colonies are about to enter upon a period of monetary activity such as was witnessed some years ago.
