In the libel action Miirrcll, Chairman of the Cromwell Hospital Trust v. (iilkison, proprietor of the Mhmstnn Times," claim £500. for alleged libel, Mr."Justice Pennefather gave judgment for twenty pounds and costs on the lowest scale. -\t the inquest on Francis Josepn Thomson, killed on the Mornington tram line on Saturday, the jury returned a verdict of 'Accidental death, with a unanimous rider that no blame attached to the driver or conductor of the tram.
