LODGE ST. ANDREW.

The installation of Bro. M. G. McGregor as W.M. of Lodge St. Andrew, No. 8, N.Z.C., took place last evening at the: Masonic Hall, Prwcess-street. Consider-, ing.the unfavourable state of the weather ; the attendance was good. After visiting Lodges had been received, the brethren present welcomed Bro. T. L. Murray, , Deputy Grand Master, and Bro, A. : u. Bartlett, District Grand Superintendent,ancl other officers of. the Grand Lodge of New Zealand. After the usual formal' business was transacted the W.M. elect, Bro. M. G. McGregor, was duly presented by Bro. John Page, P.M., and Bro. J.-U-Webster, P.M. Bro. G. H. Powley, P.M. officiated as Director of Ceremonies. The installation of the Worshipful Master then took place, after which the new master invested the following officers:—LP.Al-, Bro. C. W. Edwards; D.M., Bro. 8.8. Symon; S.W., Bro. J. Catchpole; J.W-. : Bro. D. Hyauiason; Treasurer, Bro. J. Guthrie, P.M. ; Secretary, Bro. W. Cooper, P.M.; D. of C. Bro. J. D. Webster, P.M. ; Organist, Bro. T. H. Webb; S.D., Bro. F. Kearsley ; J.D., Bio. B. Symon; 8.8.,8r0. N. McCiusky; LGJ, Bro. F.D.7 Parsons • S.S., Bro. H. Collins ; J.S. BroiS. C. Sherson; Tyler, Bro.Chas. Crozier, P.M. Working tools were presented by Bro. K. o. Parry, W.M., of Lodge Ponsonby N0._54, Bro. J. M. Laxon, W.M., Lodge Ara -N 0.., 1, and Bro. D. F. B. Larsen, W.M., Lodge United Service. The Charter and Book or Constitution were presented by R. W. -Wo., A. G. Bartlett, D.G.S., who also addressed, the W.M. The address to the Wardens. I was delivered by Bro. J. Page, anu: that to the brethren by Bro. tr. «• Powley, P.S.G.W. The closing charge was given by Bro. W. C. Walker, P.M. ■ Dr. Henry Walker, P.M., conducted tne\; masonic orchestra which included .Bros. Zimmerman and Trussell. A handsome past-master jewel was presented to i>ro. C. W. Edwards to mark the appreciation; by the members of his IS months master-... ship. During the evening the deed oi tne articles of recognition of the Grand Lodge, of New Zealand by the Englisli Grana Lodge was read, and received with' tne heartiest satisfaction by all the present, and it was pleasing to find tnau some of the old members of St. Andrews:; Lodge who were present for the first time for "many years at once announced .tlieir intention to rejoin the lodge.
