THE MIDLAND RAILWAY.

WELLINGTON, this day,
The action on behalf of the Midland Railway debenture-holders has been filed in the form, of a petition by the receiver, Mr Coates, asking for a; decree that the petitioner is en titled to all property seized, and that the Governor be directed to give up possession. The. return of a sum of money amounting to about £28,000 is claimed, and a block of land valued at about £20,000. An injunction is also sought to . prevent any Order-in-Council being issued confiscating the railway.
