MADAME BURFOOT.
Madame Carrie Burfoot and company have arrived in Auckland, and intend giving a series of concerts in the Auckland Opera House", Madame Burfoot was. specially retained as contralto soloist at the New Zealand Festival of Qratbrio held at Wellington in 1895, at which she received most complimentary notices for lier rendering of the 'Lost Chord.' She has taken the contralto solos in. oratorio in the So\ithern ..cities .during the past six years, and was the winner of the Wellington Exhibition's Gold Medal in 1896. As this will probably be; Madame,. Burfoot's last appearance in New Zealand prior to leaving- for London the pulalic. shoxild take the opportunity of hearing her.
