THAMES, this day
The flood damaged Mahara Royal water race, and the battery is stopped until a temporary supply of water has been brought in. The Sheridan mine was flooded, and the new hopper swept away. Three men at Waiomo had a narrow escape of being killed, a tree smashing a shanty in which they were sleeping.
