"FOR ENGLAND."

The second performance.of "For England" by the Bland Hblfe£pnipany drew another monster house lasfci'-evening. "In all parts of the house every available inch of standing room was taken up long before the curtain rose, and the keen interest with which the audience watched the unfolding of each fresh sensation was manifest throughout. Not even when the firebells rang out an alarm in the course of the evening did a single pit-ite stir from his place, a fact which showed how strong the. attraction of the piece was proving. Bland Holt as the Jewish money-lender kept the audience in continuous merriment, and- the other characters were one and all most ably filled. All the principals were called before the curtain at the close of the third act, after the realistic storming of the fort, and Mrs Bland Holt was made the recipient of several fine bouquets. The staging was again a. feature of the piece, and frequently elicited warm applause. "For England " will be repeated this evening and to-morroW and on Friday evening "In Sight of St. Paul's" will be staged for the first time.
