A very satisfactory > report has been given by Mr J. G. Green, one of the directors of the abeve Company who has just returned from a visit to the mine. Mr Green estimates that when the various levels are connected about 18,000 tons of ore should he ready to he taken out by the time the battery is finished. Assays of 6re taken from the four-foot reef yielded at the rate of £9 Is 3d per ton. A sample taken from the formation, which is 12 feet wide, returned at the rate of £2 12s 8d p6r €6fl.
