THE TAURANGA SHOW.
(By Telegraph—Own Correspondent)
TAURANGA, this day.
The third annual shew of the Tauranga Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held yesterday, and was attended by about one thousand persons. Quite a number of special prizes were given by Auckland firms, and Messrs Kempthorne and Prosser had a splendid exhibit of manures, etc. The entries were larger in most classes than formerly, and the exhibition of horses was considered by all to be as good as any in the colony. The number of cattle shown was small, but the quality was really good. One would have expected that produce would have been well represented, but, strange to say, there was hardly any! There was a good exhibition of locally made vehicles, from the light buggy to the heavy waggon. Everything passed off without a hitch, and the Association should have a good credit balance.
