BRISBANE, November 24.
Mr Glassey, in moving his resolution respecting the Bank Committee, said he included Sir H. Nelson's and Mr Barlow's names in order to give them an opportunity of justifying their action in connection with the bank. He condemned Mr Barlow for signing a certificate that the bank was perfectly solvent and able to pay all creditors in full, and attacked Mr Griffiths for concealing from the House the position in 1532, when £600,000 was borrowed from the Bank of England, and Sir T. Mcllwraith for enormous borrowing.
BRISBANE, this day.
Speaking to Mr Glassey's motion Mr Tozer said the Government, as soon as they knew the contents of the Bank Committee's report, decided to take steps to displace Sir ..Thos. Mcllwraith from honorary membership of the Executive Council if, his resignation was not soon forthcoming.
