LONDON COUNTY COUNCIL.
LONDON, November 24.
Referring to Lord Salisbury's speech at the Conservative Union Conference, Mr Ritchie, President of the Board of Trade, denies that the Government had any intention of smashing the London County Council. They oiily desired to create district municipalities, with a view to relieving an overworked County Council.
