TRANSFER OF SHARES.

WELLINGTON, this day.
At the annual meeting of the AVellington otock and Share Brokers' Association discussion took place concerning clause 7 of jne Mining Companies Act Amendment &U» and it was recommended that the following sub-clause be added :—" Nevertheless, a transferee may demand from the manager of any mining company on lodgment of transfer an immediate docket on we back of the certificate that the within snares have been transferred to A.B. ouch docket shall be binding on the Company, and at any time the last holder may demand the exchange of such docketed certificate by a new certificate under the s ?al of the Company and bearing the Signatures of two directors thereof." It was further resolved "That this Associa•ton, while approving of clause 7 of the «"mng Companies Act Amendment Bill as proposed to be altered, considers no legislation can be entirely satisfactory I?vU the Stamp Act is amended in the sta Q°f facilitatin& tfte transfers of
