WITHOUT RESERVE. LOT 1.-BROWN FILLY by Hotchkiss dam St. Mary by St. Leger from Weasel by Anteros (imp.). This filly is descended from Musket out of a Stockwell mare. LOT 2.— GREY FILLY by Hotchkiss dam Maid of Athol by Maribyrnong from Paraguay by Little John. This filly is closely related to Amberite, Savanaka, Kingsborough, Emily, Nellie, and three-quarter sister to those great performers Krupp, Soudan, Kotuku, Scots Grey, Queen of Trumps and own sister to Merry Maid. LOT 3.—BROWN COLT by Cuirassier (own brother to Trenton) dam Radiant by Robinson Crusoe from Radiance. This is a particularly well-shaped colt, and has three strains of Fisherman combined with Musket. LOT 4.—BAY FILLY by Hotchkiss dam Hipporina by Hippocampus from Yatterina by Yattendon. This filly is sister to Armour and related to Ingorina and Crimson Streak, both good performers. LOT 5.-CHESTNUT COLT by St. Leger dam Lady Wellington by Musket from Rosalie by Patriarch. This colt's dam is full sister to Derringer and Cartridge, dam of that good colt Amberite now winning in England. LOT 6.-BAY COLT by Castor (imp.) dami Victoria by Peve (imp.). Victoria is dam of those good performers Adelaide, Planet and Castoria. LOT 7.—BAY COLT by Cuirassier (own brother to Trenton) dam Agnes by St. Ledger (imp.) from Lovebird (imp.) by Macaroni. This is a well-grown colt, and with Musket, St. Leger, Weatherbit and Macaroni blood coursing through his veins should make a racehorse. LOT B.—BROWN FILLY by Cuirassier dam Rubina by Kingsborough from Etiquette (imp.) by Caractacus, winner of the Derby. Rubina is the dam of Florrie, a first-class performer. LOT 9.—BAY COLT by St. Leger dam Muskerina (dam of several winners) by Musket from Hipporina (dam of several winners) by Hippocampus from Yatterina (dam of Rosebud) by Yattendon. LOT 10.-CHESTNUT FILLY by St. Leger (imp.) dam Blanca by Black Eagle from Bessie by Angler. Bianca Is the dam of Lady Whitford and The Shrew, the latter undoubtedly one of the best mares now racing in N.Z: This filly has plenty of size, combined with great quality. LOT 11.—CHESTNUT COLT by St., Leger (imp.) dam Leorina- by Leolinus- (imp!) from Yatterina by Yattendon. Leorina. the dam of this colt was very fast and a great weight carrier, winning at all distances;, Yatterina, the grand dam was also a great performer. LOT 12.-GREY COLT by Castor (imp.) dam Vivandlere by Musket. Vivandiere is the dam of Son-of-a-Gun, Gallant, The Dancer, Three Star, Heavenly Twin and Tauhei, all good performers. LOT 13.-BAY COLT by Castor (imp.) dam Sunrise by Ramarama from Awatea by Ravensworth (imp.) from Skybird by Teddington. Awatea is dam of Grip, winner of the Canterbury Cup and C.J.C. Handicap. LOT 14.—CHESTNUT FILLY by St. Leger (imp.) dam Aida by Leolinus (imp.) from L'Orient (imp.) by Knight of tho Crescent. This filly is full sister to Impulse, winner of the New Zealand Cup of l.OOOsovs., A.R.C. Easter Handicap, Autumn Handicap, Wanganui Stakes, and at 5 years A.R.C. Easter Handicap. Abel, another son of Aida, was a good performer. This is a particularly handsome filly. LOT 15.—CHESTNUT COLT by St. Leger dam Yattaghan by Nordenfeldt from Yattacy by Yattendon. This colt is well-grown and furnished like a 2-year-old and combines a double cross of Stockwell on Yattendon and Musket. LOT IG.-BAY COLT by St. Leger (imp.) dam Cissy by Musket from Frailty. This is a beautiful yearling and descended from such a racing family is certain to grow into a brilliant racehorse. LOT 17.-CHESTNUT FILLY by St. Leger dam Lyrelinus by Leolinus from Lyre by Patriarch. This is a grand filly and Stockwell on Yattendon is a very successful cross. LOT 18.—BROWN COLT by Hotchkiss dam Lady Cureton by Goldsborough from Mingera by Yattendon from The Fly by Fisherman from Marchioness (imp.), winner of the Oaks. This colt has a combination of strong blood which have all produced winners. LOT 19.—BAY FILLY by St. Leger (imp.) dam Hazel by Nordenfeldt from Ouida by Yattendon. This is another Stockwell on Yattendon cross. Hazel herself was a great performer and is full sister to that phenomenal colt Strathmore, and three-quarter sister to Artillery, Balista and Hilda, all good performers. LOT 20.-CHESTNUT COLT by Hotchkiss dam Rose of Wellington by St. Leger (imp.) from Fleurette by Robinson Crusoe. This colt is beautifully bred, well-grown and most promising. He is full brother to that sterling performer True Blue. LOT 21.-BAY COLT by Castor (imp.) dam Valentinia by Leolinus (imp.) from Lyre by Patriarch from Lyra by Thormanby. This is an immense colt, showing great power and bone. LOT 22.-BROWN COLT by Hotchkiss dam Frailty by Goldsborough from Flora Mclvor by New Warrior. FrailtyIs dam of Trenton, Niagara, Cuirassier, Mary, Cissy, Zalinski, i-lavoc and Astronomer, all great winners. This is a beautiful yearling, has plenty of size, with splendid legs and feet, and all quality. LOT 23.—BROWN FILLY by St! Leger (imp.) dam Ouida by Yattendon from Gulnare by Little John. Being closelyrelated to Artillery, Balista, Hilda, Hazel and Strathmore, also well-grown, should recommend this filly to followers of running blood. LOT 24.-BROWN FILLY by St. Leger . dam Hilda by Musket from Ouida by Yattendon. Hilda was a great performer—one of the best N.Z. ever produced, winning at all distances with heavy weights.
