WAR IN INDIA.
BAGGAGE GUARD ATTACKED.
CALCUTTA, November 3.
The tribesmen are resisting the forward movement of the British troops. They attacked a baggage guard at close cpuarters, and harassed the picket. Four men belonging to the Queen's Regiment were killed while defending the baggage, which was looted. The mosque where the original attack on^ the British at the outbreak of the rebellion was planned proves to be a mudroofed blockhouse.
