WELCOME FIND.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
COROMANDEL, this day.
During the week no fresh developments have taken place. Sloping is still proceeding with fair results on the south lead north and south of the winze. The stopes, about 20 feet in length, are now up a distance of 45 feet above No. 2 level. This is on the run of gold, but when up to No. 1 level the stopes will be further extended in both directions on the leader in order to pick up further continuation of payable ore at No. 2 level. Driving is proceeding on Just-in-'I me No. 2 leader at No. 2 level with no change to report. There is now 801b picked stone on hand, and the general ore is being classified in two grades preparatory to forwarding it to the Thames for treatment. A fair return is anticipated from the whole.
