Messrs Hunter and Nolan report : — Horses : A large number were brought forward on Friday, including a shipment from Taranaki. Fair prices were realised. Heavy draught sold from £12 to £25 10s ; medium do., £9 to £17; light harness, £4 to £11 10s. A number of unbroken colts and filHes suitable for light and medium draught brought from £5 10s to £6 10s. Hides : A large catalogue was brought forward. Ox hides brought 3f d to 4gd ; steers and cows, 2Jd to 3^d ; kips, 2§d to 3d ; calf skins, 3£d"to 4|d. Tallow, lls 9d to 12s 6d per cwt. Bones, £3 12s 6d per ton. Sheepskins, longwools, 4s 2d to 6s ; crossbred, 2s 2d to 4s 6d ; lamb skins, 6d to Is 4d ; pelts, 9d to Is. Wool, 5d to s|d per lb. «• Junction Yards: A moderate supply of fat cattle was brought forward. Ox beef, 18s per lOOlbs; cow, 16s per lOOlbs. Steers ranged from £5 17s 6d to £8 15s j dairy cattle springing cows, £3 15s to £6; dry cows, £1 10s to £2 ss. Sheep brought fair values. Wethers, 14s to 14s 6d ; ewes, 10s to 15s 9d ; shorn wethers, 7s to lls; shorn ewes, 7s to 10s 9d; lambs, 5s 9d to lls. Pigs scarce; porkers, lls to 2Ss.
