POWDER FACTORY EXPLOSION MELBOURNE, this day.
At the inquiry into the explosion in the powder factory at Footscray, Mr Hake, Inspector of Explosives, stated that he found particles of grit and iron in blank cartridges. He declared such powder was liable to explode at reduced pressure.
