(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
DUNEDIN, this day.
At the Presbyterian Synod last night the Mission report Avas submitted. It referred to the work done in the New Hebrides and by the Chinese Mission in Otago. The Rev. O. Mitchelson addressed the Synod, and said that when he went to the Island of Tanna there was not one Christian in it. To-day there was not one heathen. Loie Foy, Chinese missionary, also spoke. The Theological College report) was adopted, but the discussion on the question of recommending the Property Board to pay the salaries ot teachers out of the ecclesiastical fund was postponed.
