THE SHAREMARKET.
Sales on the Exchange to-day were confined to Upper Thames stocks. Grace Darlings were dealt in at 2s 2d and 2s 4d, Imperials at Is Id, Ivanhoes at 3d, and Woodstocks at 19s. Alpha shares advanced in price, buyers offering 2s lOd, with no quoted sellers below 3s 3s. Enquiries were made for Crowns at 20s, and for Woodstock 18s 6d was offered. Talisman shares remained with firm buyers at 12s 3d. Investing stocks had steady demand at late rates, but no transactions resulted.
