Wealth of Nations.—Another chain of trenching has been done on the line of reef. The reef has now become a solid body of quartz about IS inches in width, but so far no sold has been obtained.
Omega.—The total amount of trenching done to date is 20i chains.
Ivanhoe.— The "drive has been extended another nine feet. The country in the face is interlaced with quartz veins highly mineralised and the reef may be met with at any time. Alpha.—The low level is in GO feet. The contractor for the battery has arrived with a staff of workmen and will commence forthwith.
Waitekauri Junction. — The distance driven in No. 2 level is now 60 feet j1 and passing through a- splendid class of [ sandscone mixed with quartz stringers. Trenching in the creek above the whare I | cut a body of stonj^wjiich I am inclined to j think ia the same reef as that found in the Grafton United workings and supposed to be the Golden Cross reef.
