RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES.

. :;CHRISTCHURCH, this day. At Riccarton this morning St. Paul galloped two miles on the grass long before tbe other trainers worked their charges. Mverinwas too good for Ama in a mile spin on the plough. Strath braan trotted ■ thee miles. Daystar, with Gallagher up,anS Haria, with a less weight, covered mtlf's, mile and three-quarters, Haria icing on the outside of his companion from eni to end, and appearing to move freely, the mile and a-half taking 2n_ins 49sees. The last four furlongs occupied 54£.*.ecs, Haria going well within liimself, and Daystar lazily. Waiuku cantered round once, and then galloped six furlongs in Imin 25& sees, the last half mile in 52isecs, ridden out. Skirmisher did long steady work, as also did Britomartre. Leda was not out during the morning. Acone, Starshot, Belle Clair, Bloomer, Crescent, and Moanawanui were the others that did the most useful work,
