BEN TILLETT IN SYDNEY.
AN INTERVIEW,
IMPRESSIONS OF NEW ZEALAND.
Sydney, this day. Mr Ben Tillett, in an interview, said the labour legislation of New Zealand was unique in its way and in advanco of tho people who should reap the beueiit. The facb waß there were thousands of work people in New Zealand who were nob attempbing to avail themselves ot the law. This Btupid indifference would cosb them dear. Their children would havo visited on their henda the sins of their father?. In the matter of organisation the workers in New Zealand were atill lacking. There were actually farm labourers working for lower wages than were paid in England. What sweating prevailed was the fault of the workers, the law being of such a character as to assist any efforts to exterminate tbis evil.
