These illustrations have been drawn from descriptions by eye witnesses of the disaster, and give a very faithful representation of this memorable wreck. The engraving of the passengers boing lowered into the boats oyer the side of the sinking vessel, and the other of the doomed steamer plunging head first into the deep, ore pictures well worth framing. The other illustrations in connection with the wreck are a picture of the vessel on her first appearance in Auckland, and pictures of the reception given to the Tarawera on her arrival in this port with the survivors on Sunday last. This illustrated account of the wreck is the only one thab will be available for transmission to the Old Country by the outgoing mail on Saturday.
